About
MC Smith is a debut author who has carried stories around in his head since he was a kid—whole worlds, characters, plots that played out like movies behind his eyes. For years, he never thought about putting any of it on paper.
What changed was watching his sister, a journalism major, do the thing he’d always admired from a distance: write. Her work showed him that the stories in his head could become something real, something other people could hold in their hands and get lost in.

Sapphic paranormal mysteries set in small-town Oregon, where the ordinary and the extraordinary sit at the same kitchen table. A librarian who reads the past off the things people leave behind, a detective who doesn’t believe her, and a town with a century of secrets in the ground.
